We are a family run operation located on the healing Garden Isle of Kauai, nestled behind Sleeping Giant along the Wailua River rim. This lush, tropical retreat offers a unique Bed and Breakfast overlooking Secret Falls, Mount Waialeale, and the Wailua Valley. Emphasizing relaxation in a tropical paradise.

Many outdoor adventures in hiking are available, guided or on your own. Kayaking the Wailua river is only minutes away, as well as the beach!  It's quiet and convenient with large rooms & tropical gardens. There are many types of services such as healing massage, lomilomi, Rosen, facials and other treatments offered by mobile therapists

 

All rooms have private bathrooms in the room except the Tropical Paradise room, it's private bathroom rock shower is located across the pool deck. All rooms have Wi-Fi, and free off street parking. We have a salt water/solar heated pool.  Shared public areas are the upper and lower pool deck, full  kitchen, living room, dining room, wrap around couch, TV, deck, washer and dryer for the Queen and King room.  The Tropical Paradise shares the pool, pool deck and various seating areas, no access to a full kitchen.

 

COVID changes:

We are no longer serving a community continental breakfast in our kitchen. We have lowered the number of rooms available to stay in compliance with the Kauai COVID tier system. Feel free to call us and we can go over the changes. We are have yogurt, locally made granola, coffee and tea. A list of local farmers markets is available for you to pick up local fresh fruit and vegetables. If we have any fruit on property in season we will have a basket for you in the common area. Food/snacks in the room various to availability and what is in season. We have a sanitization area prior to entry and that all guests show ID negative COVID approved test by Kauai and adhere to the government COVID regulations for our state. We have a one time cleaning fee of $ 150.00 per room.

This is a safe, quiet place for people to rest and relax and be only minutes away from all the island has to offer for hiking, shopping, restaurants and of course beaches!  It was rated amongst Hawaii’s 50 Best B&Bs by Frommer’s Budget Travel and you can’t beat the convenient location and reasonable rates. We are located one hour from either North shore or South shore. We are two miles from the beach and 3 miles from Kapaa town, where the best restaurants and shops are located on the island.  A small country store that stocks local grass fed beef and vegetables is located about 500 yards from the B&B, and you don't want to miss the local market gardens located all over the island

The Sleeping Giant trail begins 200 yards from our doorstep. The Kuilau Trail and the beach side bike path are also close by. One can reach the Secret Falls in about 20 minutes from the house, it is a bit jungle boy type of hike, but many of our guests have went and loved the hike and the views!.
